Updated Information on BJU's OB Services for Expecting Moms
From May 5th, 2022, all patients and visitors to Beijing's medical institutions need to present negative COVID test result withinn 48 hours in addition to the previous requirements. Today, BJU's OB department shares the updated process on outpatient and inpatient services.
Beijing United Family hospital truly cares about future moms and dads. Amid the recent COVID-19 situation in China, we want to assure you that care is available to you at Beijing United Family Hospital. Please find the below information for OB outpatient and inpatient services.

Regular Outpatient Appointments
please make an appointment for non emergency OB visits.
All patients/visitors entering BJU should have negative COVID test result within 48 hours and green code on Beijing Health Kit.
Please arrive 15-30 minutes earlier to allow time to fill out a COVID screening form and have your temperature taken.
Only 1 accompanying personper patient please.
While in the hospital, please wear a mask at all times and maintain 1-meter distance from others.

Inpatient Services
COVID Test Requirement
to be admitted into the hospital, the expecting mom and an accompanying family member should have negative COVID test result within 24 hours.
After being admitted into the hospital, the expecting mom and the accompanying family member should take COVID test every 48 hours (or as advised by the doctor as the rules may change according to citywide pandemic prevention and control measures).
Inpatient Area Regulations
Afte rbeing admitted into the hospital, the expecting mom and the accompanying family member should observe the hospital’s closed-off management of the inpatient area.
Once admitted, the expecting mom and the accompanying person should not leave the inpatient area without doctor’s permission.
Delivery
For natural delivery, the expecting mom and the accompanying family member can stay in thedelivery room for labor.
For C-section, only the expecting mom is allowed into the operation room. The accompanying family member will meet the new mom and the baby in the delivery room afterwards.

Emergency
For emergency situations, please go to BJU’s Emergency Room first. BJU’s ER is located on #2 Jiangtai Road (朝阳区将台路2号).
Feverand 11 symptoms
Please go to BJU's Fever Clinic on #2 Jiangtai Road (朝阳区将台路2号) if you have a fever or the below 11 symptoms.
11 symptoms include fatigue, muscle pain, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, dry cough,loss of smell and taste, diarrhea, conjunctivitis.
Health Kit pop-up or yellow code
If you don't have green code on Health Kit or you have a pop-up but need to see the doctor for abnormal or emergency situations (vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, or unusual fetal movement, etc), please call 010-5927 7051(OB Clinic, 8:30-17:00; after hours pls call 010-5927 7100 the delivery room) in advance and ask your community committee(社区居委会 she qu ju wei hui) to call 120 (the number or an ambulance ) to arrange an ambulance transfer. An OB physician will see you in the fever clinic.
If you are in labor but your Health Kit is not green or has pop-up, please call 010-5927 7100 (Delivery Room, 24 hours) and ask your communit committee to call 120 to arrange an ambulance transfer.
